Took a wrong turn, missed the tunnel and ended up driving over the Furka Pass today…

At 2500m and as seen in Goldfinger.. One of the highest passes through the Alps apparently.

Anyway.. Made it to Brigabad safe and sound.. To a campsite Helen came to 37 years ago.

Yes.. I did leave my beard in Basel.

A couple of days at the Basel Marriott and marathon seven hours straight at the adjoining water park…

Basel… A lovely city but UK health and safety would have a field day with the casual ‘drifting down the massive fast river fighting off big boats’ competition (obviously more messy ice creams…. Not pictured)

Lorrach to Zell to Huningue and off to Basel tomorrow..

Back over to France for the night… To Huningue.. Where Germany, France and Switzerland meet… With a footbridge across the German/French border over the Rhine…
